Day 1 Depart Vancouver

Day 2 Arrive Costa Rica transfer to hotel

Day 3 San Jose (B/L)

After an early breakfast we depart for Mt. Poas, a nearby volcano with beautiful craters, one with a stunning lake, the other, an active boiling lake with smoke rising from it. Then it’s on to tour the Doka coffee plantation where you will be shown all the stages of coffee production as well as have lunch before returning to the city.

Day 4 San Jose (B)

Day at leisure. Optional tours available: Wood Tour, Pacuare River Rafting (Class III –IV) or Irazú Volcano, Lankester Gardens & Orosi Valley

DAY 5 Tortuguero (B/L/D)

Today we drive to the Tortuguero National Park, located on the edge of the Caribbean sea, to board a boat for a 3-hour cruise along the canals to your lodge, game viewing en route. The afternoon is free to relax, walk the nature trails or experience the local culture.

DAY 6 Tortuguero (B/L/D)

Not to be missed is an optional (at additional cost) early morning guided boat tour watching for animals when they are at their most active. The balance of the day is free to partake in the lodge’s many activities in this spectacular park, the nesting ground of the Green Turtle (seasonal). Learn about this complex rainforest Eco-system with over 380 species of birds and many types of monkeys and other mammals as you travel by dugout canoe along the jungle-clad rivers and lagoons.

DAY 7 Tortuguero to Sarapiquí (B/L)

Morning breakfast followed by boat transfer through one of Tortuguero's many tributary rivers, continue on ground transportation to Guápiles for lunch. Your CRT representative will be waiting with your luggage to provide the ground transfer/tour to Arenal area. Rest of the evening is at leisure to enjoy the hotel facilities including the natural hot springs and treatments available at their spa. Dinner on your own

DAY 8 Fortuna & Arenal Volcano National Park (B)

Morning at leisure to observe the volcanic activity or to enjoy one of the many activities featured at this popular destination in Costa Rica. At 3:00 p.m. Arenal Volcano and National Park. The classically conical shape of Arenal Volcano dominates the rolling plains of Arenal, emitting occasional puffs of smoke.

Day 9 Fortuna & Arenal Volcano National Park (B)

Morning adventure at the zipline. First you will start with the tram that reaches an observation area at the highest point of the Arenal Reserve, from where you can admire the natural beauty of the rain forest, the volcano and lake. Once you have reached the observation deck, you will feel the adrenaline and enjoy magnificent views on the Sky Trek. This is a tour full of adrenaline high above the treetops, allowing you to observe the rainforest at its best and stunning views of the Arenal Volcano and the Arenal Lake. The tour includes 8 zipline cables with distances up to 2460 feet and a maximum height of 660 feet. Back at the hotel for lunch on own. Afternoon at leisure. Try an Optional tour - not included in the cost of the package - Canyoning Tour, Trek through the forest to spectacular waterfalls, from the first waterfall you will rappel down from the top into the canyon below or try the My Cheese Tour

DAY 10 North Pacific Coast (B / All -Inclusive)

After breakfast, departure on ground transfer from Arenal area to the North Pacific Coast

DAY 11-15 North Pacific Coast (All-Inclusive)

Days at leisure to enjoy resort facilities or take optional tours

Day 16 Adios Costa Rica (B) Depart airport & flight back to Vancouver.
